Useful
I believe usefulness is the purest form of good design. It means creating things that help people move forward — with less friction, fewer questions, and more confidence. Useful design is practical, durable, and intentional: it respects people’s time and attention, and it works in the real world, not just in a perfect prototype. When something is truly useful, it earns trust quickly — because it simply does what it should.
Authentic
I love work that feels like it has a real voice. Authentic design has clarity and character. It’s the kind of experience where the words, visuals, and interactions all point in the same direction — and you can feel the intention behind it. That alignment makes products easier to trust, and brands easier to connect with, because everything feels consistent and grounded.
Empathetic
The people using a product aren’t just “users” — they’re human beings with context. Different abilities, backgrounds, moods, levels of confidence, and different kinds of days. I want the things I design to be welcoming and supportive, not exclusive or demanding.
Beautiful
Aesthetics shape how something feels. A beautiful design signals attention, intention, and quality — and that changes how people approach it. When it looks considered, it feels considered.
From Rhythm to Systems
Alongside my passion for design, music is something that has always accompanied me. I play drums, guitar, and keys, and I’ve spent years in bands producing a wide variety of music. I’ve always been fascinated by the process of production—turning a vague idea into a track that stands on its own and resonates with others. I see design through a similar lens. Just like a song needs a solid rhythm section to hold it together, a product needs a strong logic system.
The Berlin Balance
I call Berlin home. The city’s chaotic energy and culture are a constant source of inspiration for me. But to be a calm, structured thinker in my work, I need a counterbalance. When I’m not in Figma, you’ll likely find me digging through crates at a record store, catching a concert, or just enjoying a coffee in a quiet corner of the neighborhood.
Staying Grounded
The ultimate balance, however, comes from Eri, my poodle. Whether we are walking through the park or she’s just napping near my desk, she has an incredible ability to pull me back into the present moment. Her cheerful nature is contagious.
